Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: August 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Revzy AI LLC (“Revzy AI LLC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile applications, website, and related services (together, the “Service”). We do not sell your personal information and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Features differ by platform, app version, and the choices you make. We collect, use, or disclose information only when you use a feature that requires that processing. For example, some vehicle diagnostics may remain on your device, while optional account, cloud, subscription, or AI features require information to be processed by us and the recipients described below.
1. Information we collect
Account information
If you create an account or use a sign-in feature, we collect your email address and an account identifier. If you choose a third-party sign-in option, the identity and authentication provider gives us a unique identifier and, depending on your choices, your email address.
Vehicle and diagnostic data
To provide diagnostics, we process data read from your vehicle through your OBD-II adapter, which may include the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), diagnostic trouble codes, and live sensor readings (such as engine RPM, temperatures, and fuel parameters). Rolling summary statistics are stored to power your history. Detailed per-reading samples are stored only if you are a paid subscriber and choose to enable cloud backup.
AI questions, chats, and report context
Where AI features are available, if you allow AI data sharing and request an AI report or chat response, we process your question and recent chat together with the vehicle context relevant to that request. Depending on what is available, that context may include your VIN and vehicle details, fault codes, live sensor readings, emissions-readiness status, detected anomalies, and selected recording context.
Subscription information
Where subscriptions are available, purchases are processed by an app marketplace or payment provider and may be managed by a subscription-management provider. We receive your subscription status and the account, purchase, customer, or receipt identifiers needed to complete the transaction and unlock paid features. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details.
Device and usage information
We may collect technical information such as app version, device model, operating-system version, and diagnostic logs to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service.
Support communications
If you contact us, we keep your messages and contact details to respond and improve our support.
2. How we use information
- to provide, maintain, and improve the Service and your diagnostic history;
- to generate AI diagnostic reports and chat responses when you request them;
- to manage your account, subscription, and entitlements;
- to provide customer support and respond to your requests;
- to secure the Service, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
3. AI processing
Where AI features are available, requesting an AI diagnostic report or chat response sends your question and recent chat, plus relevant vehicle information—such as your VIN and vehicle details, fault codes, live sensor readings, emissions-readiness status, detected anomalies, and selected recording context—to OpenAI, Anthropic, or both. In our mobile apps, this occurs only after you allow AI data sharing. A request may be processed by one or both providers. This processing is used to provide the AI feature you requested, not for advertising or cross-app tracking.
In a mobile app that offers AI data sharing, you can withdraw permission for future sharing through the available AI Data Sharing control. Withdrawing blocks future AI requests and does not delete information from earlier requests. You can still use available local scanning, live data, Faults, and Garage features without allowing AI data sharing.
4. How we share information
We disclose information to service providers and other recipients only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the Service. The recipient categories, data, and purposes are:
- Cloud hosting and database providers — account identifiers, diagnostic history, optional stored sensor samples, AI questions and results, support communications, and technical logs needed to host the Service, store the information you choose to save, operate its features, and keep it secure.
- Identity and authentication providers — your email address, account identifier, and authentication or session information needed to create and secure your account, sign you in, and prevent unauthorized access.
- OpenAI and Anthropic — processing AI report and chat requests from the question, recent chat, and relevant vehicle diagnostic context you submit. A request may be processed by one or both providers.
- App-distribution, payment, and subscription-management providers — your account identifier, email address where provided, and purchase, receipt, customer, subscription, and entitlement information needed to distribute the app, process transactions, manage subscriptions, and unlock paid features.
- National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) — when you use VIN decoding, we send your VIN and associated technical request information to NHTSA’s vehicle-information service. NHTSA returns vehicle attributes such as make, model, model year, and manufacturing details, which we use to identify your vehicle and provide vehicle-specific context.
We require third parties that receive user data from us to protect it to the same or an equivalent standard as described in this Policy and required by applicable law and platform requirements.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Data retention
We keep your account and diagnostic data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Where an account-deletion control is available, you can use it to delete your account and associated cloud data. You may also request deletion by contacting us at privacy@revzy.ai, preferably from the email address associated with your account. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request. We may retain limited information as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
AI request data and generated results may be retained in your account history and by our processors under their applicable service terms and retention controls. Withdrawing AI data-sharing permission stops future sharing; it does not delete your account, previous chats, reports, diagnostics, or information already processed. Account deletion is the separate control for deleting account-associated data, subject to the limited legal retention described above.
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on the features available on your platform, you can access and update your account information, withdraw AI data-sharing permission, disable optional cloud backup, and use an available account-deletion control. You can also contact us to exercise a privacy right. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights.
California residents. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA), you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA. To exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@revzy.ai.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls that restrict data to your own account. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children’s privacy
The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International users
We operate in the United States, and your information is processed there. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Effective and last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
11. Contact us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your information, contact us at privacy@revzy.ai.
